Two weeks ago, I subbed all 5 days and then had to bartend all weekend at the Carp. I missed my kid, big time. So much that I decided to take him to the circus. Now, honestly, I hate thinking about animal cruelty and exploitation and all that just as much as the next person... probably even more than the next person. But I figured I'd put it all aside and try to fake oblivion, because I knew Mason would have fun.



And he did. He loved it. He still talks about riding this elephant.


I'd go anywhere to see that smile - even the circus.
