She Fits in Around Here

Penny Lane has turned out to be a perfect addition to the fam.  She's crazy, she's doubled in size since we've gotten her, and she seems to like it here.  She plays with Mase:

helps with bath time:

And receives endless cuddles and hugs from a certain four-year-old who loves her to death.

Okay, I like her too.

If she's lucky, she even gets to take a cat nap every now and then.

I think Penny Lane will be sticking around for a while.

Vacation Fund

I've been saving change for a year, and I'm not sure how much is in here but I bet it's enough for a weekend vacation.  It's almost beach time, for sure.

Spring Creek

With Aimee, Mads, and Ev.

I remember when these two could barely walk around the park.  God, four years flew.

Rock Collector

Rocks.  Is taking rocks from a restaurant flower garden considered stealing?

I don't know, but it's kind of like owning land.

The Big Kid Bike

Catching up on this blog is making my kid (and me!) seem OLD.  Mase was hesitant at first, but now he rips around on this thing.  I can hardly wait to take the training wheels off.  Here's his first ride on his new bike.

Bland's Park: The Big Rides

At 40 inches tall and 40 pounds, Mase is big enough for some of the big rides this year.  Like the Scrambler:

and the Parachutes:

The kid has no fear when it comes to rides.  We've even gotten him (illegally) onto the big water slides. Pictures of those next time. :)

Grill Master

It's not even the first day of summer and I'm loving all this outside stuff already.  Nothing better than plastic cheeseburgers on the grill.  Yum.  Summer, never end, please?

A Good Investment

Bland's Park season passes.

4th Birthday Party

When Mase was a baby, I remember wishing I could stop time, because life could never get better than it was right in that moment.  That he would never be cuter or more fun or more innocent or more special to me.
Yeah, all that was crazy.  Life gets better every single day.  I still think maybe I'd like to stop time now, at four years old.  These days are so much fun and I don't think I'd go back in time even if I had the chance.

Anyway, all sappiness aside... the Lego party.

I go a little overboard on the themes, I realize this.  And I love it.  Lego cookies and Lego s'mores, plus a bowl of Lego candy.

And that's not all.  hah.

Anyway, his party was a blast, as it always is.  He loved every second of it.

It was great to see family and old friends and old friends' kids.

Wow, how things change.

Happy birthday, baby.
