When Mason woke up on his birthday (at 5:30am!) I told him that since it was his day we could do whatever he wanted. He could make all the decisions. He ate breakfast and we headed out. First stop was feeding the 9th Street ducks.
The geese were a little scary, but the ducklings were adorable.
Next up was the park.
Mase and I played forever,
he picked me a flower,
and then he made some friends.
Sitting there, watching Mase run up to kids on the playground and tell them his name (Hey! I'm Mason and I'm FOUR... let's play!), I was amazed. I can't get over how fast he's growing up. Maybe I'm a little sappy today, but holy shit, where did the time go?
After the park was another one of Mason's favorite things -
the car wash. A nine dollar super wash makes him happy EVERY time.
After our car was shining, it was time for lunch - Pizza Hut lunch buffet.
When we got home from lunch, Mase decided that Penny Lane needed to go for a car ride.
And then we had ice cream cake. I picked the cake, as a surprise, but Mase had no complaints.
I think I need to let Mason plan our days more often.
Happy birthday, baby.
