St. Patrick's Day at the Duck Park

On St. Patrick's Days past, I celebrated by drinking some Guiness and toasting the 1/4 of myself that contains Irish heritage. This St. Patrick's Day, I went to the duck park with Mase, Aimee, and Madelynn.

This St. Patrick's Day was way better.

The toddler: He's Mason. He's 3.25 years old and he never stops talking. He can count to 14 (with the creative addition of "eleventeen", recognize all his letters (and write some of them!), and spell his name and the word LAUGH. He's an avid singer and his favorite songs to belt out include "Hey Jude", "I Told the Witch Doctor", and "Our House". He enjoys ice cream, Dr. Seuss books, setting up mile-long Thomas the Train track traps for me to step on in the middle of the night, going to the car wash, and taking long walks on the beach. He's funny, he's smart, he's helpful, and he has some really great hair.

The parent: I'm Megan, the single mom who loves everything about the crazy toddler described above. I'm 26 years old and the proud owner of a shiny new college degree in English Education. I'm working on my Master's degree in Special Education and, although I can multitask like no one you've ever seen, yearn for days to somehow turn into 30 hours instead of just 24. While I sometimes have to remind myself to take a couple deep breaths, I'm getting really good at answering all the "why?"s and the "but how come?"s. I laugh. I care. I never want it to end and I wouldn't want it any other way.
